GENERAL POLICY FOR REGISTRATION

The Mooreland University therefore, aims at preparing you for the 21st Century while sharpening your communication skills. The University has come up with creative ideas to equip you with up-to-date information in your field of study.
THE MOORELAND UNIVERSITY having campuses/Coordination Centres around the world is managed by a group of dedicated professionals / educationists who are continuously contributing to the cause of uplift of education. The Mooreland University in addition to Diploma, offers number of Master and Ph.D. degree programs in different subjects. The University has established two separate divisions to provide both traditional and non traditional education (full time, residential - degree programs-and external-non resident education)
FULL TIME (Resident) DEGREE PROGRAMS:
Full time students must comply with appropriate regulations governing admissions and conduct.
EXTERNAL (Non Resident) DEGREE PROGRAMS:
External Degree Programs of the Mooreland University are offered through the University's International coordination centre, under the patronage of "Mooreland Education System" INC New Hampshire state, USA. The Centre is established for those individuals who are unable to attend university or college for full time study due to full time or part time employment, business commitments, physical handicaps or domestic responsibilities. These prospective students may already have accumulated advance knowledge and experience and thus have earned some credits by attending academic or professional graduate or post graduate courses which may be counted towards University degree. MBA – MHA (Master in Hospital Administration) M.Sc (Computer Sciences) /MPH (Master in Public Health) , M.Sc, Applied Psychology, MA, Fashion Design Media Management, Telecommunication and Ph.D degree may be awarded by the University in recognition of the successful completion of a supervised programs of study and/or research culminating at a Master, Ph.D. thesis, which significantly contributes to learning in a student's field of specialization. The thesis must provide evidence of a candidate's ability to carry out a systematic study and/or research in the field and relate the results of such a study to the general body of knowledge in that field. Post Graduate and Ph.D. students who are required to write a dissertation or a thesis for their degree programs specially Ph.D Programs should follow the under mentioned procedure
GUIDE LINES FOR Ph.D STUDENTS:
1. The Ph.D student should submit application/admission form, Ph.D thesis outline along with TT-(Telegraphic Transfer) / amounting to US$ 100/- for registration fee in favour of Mooreland University address as mentioned below:
Student should post his/her application along with supporting documents and tuition fee through T T (Telegraghic Transfer or Bank Draft) at the address mentioned below:

Note:- The Tuition Fee may be paid in lump sum or eighteen (Monthly) installments as per student’s convenience.
2. The local advisor /supervisor / examiner’s of the Ph.D student (Proposed by the student or his/her referee) will be appointed by the Mooreland University Administration. The student must submit progress report about his\ her Ph.D Thesis after every quarter.
3. In lieu of the final progress report and recommendation written by the Supervisor of the Ph.D programs, three copies of the original Ph.D dissertation / thesis should be submitted to the concerned regional centre or international coordination centre of Mooreland University.
4. Each copy of the Ph.D dissertation/thesis submitted to the University must include a DECLARATION signed by both the student and his/her supervisor that the work presented is original. It must contribute to learning and provide evidence of the student's ability to carry out a systematic study and relate the results of this study to the general body of knowledge in the subject.
WARNING: The University reserves the right to withdraw a certificate, diploma or degree if at any stage, it is discovered that the DECLARATION made in a dissertation or thesis is false or misleading.
5. The University reserves the right to call Master and Doctoral degree candidates for oral examination in defense of their dissertations or thesis. At the end of the program the students will be required to pay postage charges amounting the US$ 200/- through T.T (Telegraphic Transfer) made in favour of the Mooreland University or the account number notified by the Mooreland University Administration.
GUIDELINES FOR GRADUATE/POST SGRADUATE STUDENTS AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
The University follows a 'FIVE STEP' procedure as explained below:
STEP ONE: EVALUATION
The student submits an application for admission along with latest photograph and copies of all certificates, degrees, diplomas, transcripts, details of courses taken else where, results of all examinations and any other supporting documents, including details of relevant professional experience. The documents/application form along with TT-(Telegraphic Transfer) amounting to US$ 100/- for registration fee in favour of Mooreland University address as mentioned below:

To substitute work experience for courses required, please attach complete documentation (photo copies) of your professional employment record, recommendation letters, course completion certificates, and any seminar/workshop you have attended.
STEP TWO: STUDY PLAN
After necessary processing of your application, you will be notified accordingly. You will also be issued your permanent student number. The University, to facilitate the student, will nominate a coordinator. The following week, your study material along with study plan related to your degree programs will be mailed to you. After you receive your course material and study plan-you will begin your studies. Mean while the student will be required to pay the first installment of the tuition fee through T.T (Telegraphic Transfer) made in favour of Mooreland University.
STEP THREE: COMPLETION PLAN
In Step Three, the student under takes and completes the assigned courses or a programs of study and research within the study plan framework. Usually the student is advised to write a brief summary of the course reading material / books. The supervised study and research culminates onto a dissertation or thesis, The thesis or summaries written by the student are submitted to the University for evaluation along with second installment of tuition fee through T.T (Telegraphic Transfer) in favour of Mooreland University.
STEP FOUR: EVALUATION AND EXAMINATION
In Step four, the University evaluates and examines the courses, assignments / examinations or the dissertation or thesis completed by the student. The student will be required to pay the third installment of tuition fee through T.T (Telegraphic Transfer) in favour of Mooreland University. The University reserves the right to appoint more than one examiner for each student. Decision of the examiner(s) is binding on the University and the student.
STEP FIVE: RESULTS AND AWARD OF DEGREES
After the report (s) by the examiner(s), receipt of examination fee , payment of balance dues, if any, the University will declare the results and award degrees to successful students.
FAILED STUDENTS
The University may allow failed students to re-take their examinations or resubmit their dissertation/ thesis for examination, provided that examiner(s) have made such recommendations, and any recommendations for the improvement of a dissertation/ thesis have been carried out by the candidate. At the end of the program the students will be required to pay the postage charges amounting the US$ 200/- through T.T (Telegraphic Transfer) made in favour of the “Mooreland University”. |
